RiNo Art Park Opening

Our burgeoning neighborhood of RiNo Arts District is staying true to its name. From September 24th to the 26th a number of family-friendly events will celebrate the grand opening of ArtPark at 1900 35th Street. So much fun!

ArtPark, long in the planning and making, is a creative hub in the Five Points neighborhood. It’s designed to spark innovation and bring people together. Many creative and community partners have contributed: RiNo Art District, the City of Denver, Denver Parks and Recreation, Denver Public Library, RedLine Contemporary Art Center, and Focus Points Family Resource Center.

Set within open green space at 35th and Arkins and connected to the South Platte River, ArtPark explores the intersections of nature, recreation, and culture. The weekend will include tours, workshops, demonstrations, art activations, live music, exhibits, performances and more. Just look at the schedule below. Portals to other dimensions! A Bubble Tower! Live performances! All that, and food trucks too.

All events are FREE, with the exception of Lawn Salon, a very wonderful al fresco event on Saturday evening. It’s the big fundraiser for the Art Park capital campaign. It comes with a giant flaming disco ball. We can’t wait!

What with Meow Wolf Denver opening their long awaited Convergence Station on the 17th, this September offers some first-class opportunities to get out and play in our fair city.
